For some of us on here it’s day 2/3 of opening this conversation on our platforms, I hope you haven’t already gone back to your normal after you ticked that box yesterday. Come on it’s time to use your platform with that integrity you have & create action. One thing I’d like to mention is everyone right now is an influencer no matter their number following, use your platforms to share if you want to help and really help pause what you’re doing and take action. I need to learn a lot fortunately there is a wave of information for us to consume in all different mediums! {the podcasts here are exceptionally great} I would like to add a podcast to this list “modern problem”. There is actions we can do whilst we learn, petitions we can sign, places to donate {if we can}, there’s local organisations we can support, share. There’s long over due conversations to be had. Anything to add to this list drop it below. I know there are many more great podcast, petitions and groups! Also anyone in my area- check my stories for a supply drop.

Last year I said I would continue with social media because it was better to be in the room and have something to say than out of it and say nothing. And I think right now, more than ever, if you have a voice you cannot be silent. I’m not here for kudos, this should be normal practice for influencers to influence positively and stand up. I’m here to call myself out for not doing better. Something I should have been more vocal about in the past. I’m sorry. The last few days have woken me up to realise I need to educate myself more, actively share how we can fight racism and use my white privilege to be an active ally. I can’t imagine the struggles, but I can support the change that’s needed. And I don’t mean by just putting up some images, taking time to educate myself and listen. I look forward to seeing other Irish influencers do the same 💓 Thanks to everyone who sent me advice/ books/ podcast on how I can learn more after my stories yesterday. I’ve a lot to get through! Sunrise at sea, thanks bono for the PPE Bring your shit home after the beach 👏🏻👏🏻👌🏻 Kayaking at sunrise is one to remember. I’m just waking up from my nap though 😂 If you’re heading by water in this weather remember if you can bring it with you, you can bring it back home with you too. Found this is a 10 min stroll. {sanitary towels, underwear, plastic food wraps, glass bottles, so much tin foil, and then the usual suspects) Beach clean inspired by @flossieandthebeachcleaners doing great work. Gonna start joining their mid week cleans!

Last workout of the week💪🏼💪🏼 Well done everyone who got up to train today! Warm up included here, make sure you do a good cool down and drink up it’s a sweaty one. Bear crawl- hips in line with shoulders, small steps back and forth, no rocking of the hips. Knees 2 inch off the floor. Squat kick- good reps here squatting low, alternating kicks Mountain climbers- hips low, a pace you can keep for 50 seconds, try not drop your knees to the floor Glute bridge {single leg}- don’t flare out your ribs, make sure the knee doesn’t fall inwards, pushing through the foot good squeeze on top. Get ups - hips in line with shoulders, glutes squeezing try not rock, alternating arms don’t let the dominant side do all the work. #noequipmentworkouts #bodyweightworkouts

Hold up wait a minute... it’s another bread recipe!!! Haha it’s a pecan and raisin soda bread omg this is serious pimping out that soda loaf- it’s crispy crust and soft fluffy inside you can make this without the nuts and dried fruit also FYI. No equipment needed, no yeast no time!!! Ps. I’m making soda bread on my IGTV live Cook A Long tomorrow night at 7pm if you want to join me 🥰🥰🥰 1 loaf 250g plain flour 200g wholemeal 2 tbsp sugar or sweetener of choice 1 tsp baking soda Pinch salt 380 ml (350ml milk of choice 30 ml apple cider vinegar (or other vinegar) or 380 ml buttermilk)- let sit for a minute. 2 handfuls raisins or chopped dates/ apricots 2 handfuls chopped pecans or walnuts or hazelnuts 200•C Mix the dry ingredients in a large bowl. Create a well in the centre, pour in the “buttermilk mix” Stir to make sure there’s no dry flour. Fold in the nuts and dried fruit. Tip onto a floured surface and shape into a round loaf. Place on a flat baking tray make a cross incision on top. Bake for 40 minutes. Let cool before slicing. Perfect or freezing or keep in an airtight container in a cool press for up to 6- 7 days

That’s it I’ve becoming a fashion blogger {which is actually very hard at home} The scarf top I was wearing the other day, get yourself a second hand large scarf & have loads of tops! This one is old from @ninecrows ✨✨✨ Using this time to go through my closet going to try upcycle 1 outfit a week/ month let’s see what’s realistic 😂 maybe a month since I am the seamstress. I did buy a new hand held stitcher online (of course I did) it’s like a stapler but sows ***genius***

Social media numbers ≠ self worth. Social media numbers are becoming the new scales. It’s so sad the amount of messages I get of people saying they feel social media numbers are having a direct effect on their friendship/ work status & dynamics. Since when did follower numbers and likes become a currency for your value as a person/ friend? In full disclosure {I feel a bit embarrassed to admit} about 2 years ago I got really caught up in numbers, especially in this job you feel your worth as a person is dangling on a few double taps. Thankfully not anymore I guess I decided to use social media not for validation but to share just stuff I wish I heard growing up, my everyday, recipes and well my love of the outdoors and willayyy😂 it took that pressure off & reminded me my self worth wasn’t in a Number but what I think of myself and what I give back. I know people with millions of followers who aren’t happy with their follower numbers still, comparing themselves to others around them so for anyone wondering I’m guessing there’s no magic number where you feel content. Obviously I don’t have experience growing up with social media being so prevalent and how that would impact a friendship group but I just hope it’s not the new scales the fight to always be a number never being happy once you reach it. I do know one thing we won’t look back when we’re 80 and think I wish I had more followers & spent more time on my phone. Anyway this was on my mind all day & I’d love to know your thoughts/ advice 🙏🏼💜 #contentcontent
